Needs:

Stitch extra set of new clothes for a poor child, while stitching a uniform for ones own child

Old clothes

Volunteers:

1. To teach subjects, spoken English etc at the open school for underprivileged school drop outs.
2. Volunteers to work with the handicapped. Also to visit handicapped, sing, entertain. Requirement is to go with an open mind, with the understanding that while they teach they will also learn in turn.
3. Patient individuals to tell stories, teach manners etc to children at the transit school for child labour.
4. Spend time with the elderly
5. Work with Special Olympics Bharat (part of the International Special Olympics for the disabled) at a tristate sports event planned in May
6. A student to adopt a disabled child for a day. Children will be given a special lifetime volunteer for the Special Olympics.
7. Teach new skills to underprivileged children
8. Counsel children (training can be arranged if necessary)
9. Volunteer to keep international social service volunteers from Gap-Guru (expenses will be paid for)

A vocational trainer from a community college for the underprivileged children: Rs 3000 to Rs 5000
